Brothers and Co-Founders, Kraig and Kameron Weaver used to play a game when they were young.
The game is called “Hip Hip” and takes place in the grocery store, the Walmart, the Kmart, the Target… any store. It’s a listening game, really. When one brother says/yells “Hip Hip” the other brother knows to look up and catch whatever is in the air that the other brother has thrown at him.
The receiver has no idea what’s been thrown, he’s just got to catch it before it hits the ground and makes a mess.
(Oh, Mama Weaver, we feel for you.)
This game has turned into a normal way of communication for them. When they are working on the stills “hip hip” means the tool you asked for is coming your way or if you’re really lucky, a nice boozy can of refreshment.
This #aboutlastnight is a hilarious take on Hip Hip, where Kraig is throwing basically everything in the distillery at Kameron at the same time, expecting him to catch it. It all starts with the normal things but then continues to get stranger and stranger… capturing the playful nature of the game, and also the relationship between brothers.

We all have those nights where inhibitions were diminished, or completely lost, and we wake up maybe not quite remembering the whole story but definitely remembering enough to make our cheeks blush.
At The Block we don’t consider those #aboutlastnight stories embarrassing. We consider them badges of honor, like scars with amazing action tales. So we decided to document them. Are they fictitious or did they happen? We won't tell.

THE PROCESS
For this image, there were several shots stitched together using the composite method of photography. This is the sixth photo in the #aboutlastnight series using a composite method.
First, we hung this series of objects from the rafters at the distillery, then photographer Sash Levitov shot multiple photos of the dangling objects and both Kraig and Kameron. Next, Sash stitched the series of photos together to create this magical photo of Kraig and Kameron, playing the most epic game of Hip Hip.
