Kinda like a Mai Tai

Use this recipe to make a Mai Tai-esque cocktail using our latest release. But first, use the following instructions to make a coconut oil fat washed vodka.

coconut oil fat-washed vodka:

10oz Coconut oil

375ml Vodka

Place coconut oil in a microwave safe dish, and microwave in 10 second intervals until just melted. Add coconut oil and vodka to a glass or other non-porous vessel. Let your mixture sit at room temperature for about an hour. Transfer to the freezer to sit overnight. The coconut oil will form a cap at the top of the jar-poke a hole in the cap and strain the vodka. Repeat the process and freeze again to remove any remaining oils. Store in a bottle on your bar cart.

cocktail build:

1oz Coconut oil vodka

0.75oz Winter Gin

0.5oz Citrus Liqueur

0.5oz Panela Simple syrup (can substitute brown sugar)

0.25oz Fresh Lime Juice

DIRECTIONS:

Combine all ingredients in to a cocktail shaker (a tupperware with a lid is a great home substitute if you don’t have one!) with ice and shake vigorously, dump entire cocktail including ice in to your cocktail glass. Garnish with mint and a fresh orange twist.
