225 Club Recipes: Spiced Rum
Cocktail no. 1
Use this recipe to make a citrus forward rum punch
cocktail build:
1.5oz Spiced Rum
.5oz Citrus Liqueur
.75oz Pineapple Juice
.25oz Fresh Lime Juice
.5oz Guava Simple Syrup*
DIRECTIONS:
Chill a coupe or other stemmed cocktail glass 1-2 hours prior to making your cocktail. Combine all ingredients in a shaker tin with ice and shake until cold, about 15 seconds. Strain into your chilled glass. Peel and express an orange peel over your cocktail. Garnish with fresh mint-slap or lightly pinch to express oils in the mint before garnishing.
-GUAVA SIMPLE SYRUP-
16oz (480g) Jumex Guava Juice
480g cane sugar
Bring juice to a very light simmer-you just need to heat it up enough to dissolve the sugar. Remove from heat, add sugar, and stir until dissolved. Let your syrup completely cool-use immediately or store for up to 2 weeks in the refridgerator.

Use this recipe to make a tropical rum old fashioned
cocktail build:
1.5oz Spiced Rum
.25oz Blood Orange Syrup
Barspoon (1/2 tspn) Pineapple Juice
2 Dashes of Angostura or Aromatic bitters
DIRECTIONS:
Combine all ingredients in a mixing glass or Yari, stir until cold, 10-15 seconds. Strain into a rocks glass with ice. Peel and express a fresh orange peel and garnish your glass.

500g Fresh squeezed blood orange juice
500g Cane Sugar
